Called To Care
We are here for you.
Whether you would like a pastoral visit, requesting prayer, need guidance through a funeral or are planning a joyful event such as a wedding or baptism, there is someone to talk to!
CPUCC has an active Congregational Care Team. Our Lay Support Ministry writes cards, makes telephone calls, delivers flowers, and offers home communion to those who are not able to make it to church. They, along with the pastor, oversee the church’s Prayer Chain. If additional service is required to meet specific needs, please be in touch with the church. There are FAQ’s below to help guide you.
Did You Know?
A Praying Church
CPUCC is a “Praying Church.” Call or email the church office or fill out a prayer card during worship and place in the offering plate. If you are online, we invite you to share your prayer concerns and celebrations any time via our Online Prayer Request Form. These are shared with our Prayer Chain. There is a prayer team that prays weekly, and members of the congregation add these to their daily prayers.
Connecting in Emergencies
Did you know? We have magnets to help to communicate with your family and friends the importance of your church.

We are here for you. Call (717) 545-3782.
Our clergy would be pleased to visit those who desire it, especially when illness or another crisis may be present. Please be aware that due to current confidentiality laws, clergy cannot be informed by healthcare professionals of the need for pastoral care without your written consent.
If emergency pastoral care is needed in the case of crisis, death, or severe illness, please call the pastor either at home or the office. Phone numbers are listed in the church directory.
We are happy to make a hospital visit and offer prayer or meet you there. Please call pastor to set this visit up. A visit may be made without you, but medical staff no longer call pastors and do not give information.
Please contact the church personally if you or a loved one is (or will be) hospitalized so that the proper forms may be signed and placed in a patient’s file. This will give the medical staff permission to speak to clergy about the status, condition and needs of a parishioner in the event of severe illness. This is how we can effectively and compassionately serve our church community, especially during times when pastoral care can be so vital!
