God's love is free. There is nothing we can do to earn God's grace. That comes freely from God.
We are called into discipleship and community. Discipleship is our work. We are asked to follow Jesus example and commandments:
Mark 12:30-31
[Jesus says] you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’ The second is this, ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these.”
Matthew 28:16-20
The Commissioning of the Disciples – Now the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain to which Jesus had directed them. When they saw him, they worshiped him, but they doubted. And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit and teaching them to obey everything that I have commanded you. And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”
Micah 6:8
He has told you, O mortal, what is good, and what does the Lord require of you but to do justice and to love kindness and to walk humbly with your God?
What to Be a Member?
Becoming a member isn’t being part of a country club. We all have our faith journeys we walk upon with God. In our church membership is not required. We hope that one day you will feel inspired to take that next leap of faith walking with us into the future of CPUCC. One helpful resource as you consider membership can be found HERE.
We hope to build community through not only worship, but activities, events and groups like:
- Music Ministry (Choirs)
- Charging Station
- Sunday School classes
- Women’s Spirituality Group
- Prayer Triads
- Harrisburg Pride Festival
- Summer Music Fest
- & More!
