Sunday Worship
Morning Worship
CPUCC offers a Sunday worship service at 9:30am. This service is available both in person and online. As you prepare for Sunday Morning Worship online:
- Light your candle and place it in your Worship space
- Gather your communion elements (Communion Sunday only)
Let us know you’re worshiping with us by signing the online Attendance Pad at tinyurl.com/AttendancePad
Evening Worship
Charging Station Worship
The Charging Station worships every Sunday at 5:00 pm. Different from our more “formal” Sunday morning worship services, The Charging Station is a perfect setting for those who are looking for a more casual, intimate worship experience, with upbeat and engaging music.
Why the name “The Charging Station”? Because Church is-in a very real sense-a place where we come to be spiritually recharged for the week ahead. You are encouraged to bring all of who you are-your joys and your heartache, your faith and your deepest questions and doubts, and dare to encounter a Loving God who cares. For more details, please contact Pastor Scott or Pastor Cindy (717-545-3782).
You won’t find a formal sermon here, but rather will have the opportunity to be a part of “Holy Conversation,” where we explore together how the Scriptures may speak to our lives. Once a month, following worship, the community experience continues with a shared meal. Once a month, we also have a Community Service Sunday, where we “give back” – in the past we have done activities like sorting clothes at the Thrift Shoppe, creating encouragement stones, creating cards for distribution at retirement communities, and packing supplies for school.
Keep up with activities at www.facebook.com/chargingstationhbg.
Other Ways to Worship
In addition to Sunday Worship, CPUCC offers additional ways to worship. We have creative celebrations which include a Christmas Cantata, Christmas Eve Candlelight service, Ash Wednesday service, Palm Parade, Maundy Thursday service, Good Friday Tenebrae service, Easter Morning celebration, and Pentecost Sunday.
No matter how you choose to worship with us, we are so glad to have you join us!
Taize
Taizé services are contemplative services held in person in our Chapel. We offer these multiple times throughout the year. Taizé is a peaceful, personal, prayer service for the renewal of the soul. They include silence, simple chants, scripture reading and candle lighting. In these times of anxiety, a quiet, contemplative service is helpful to re-focus ourselves on God’s ever-present comfort.
If you would like to see what our Taize services are like, see our Taize Worship Playlist on YouTube (we offered them online, weekly during the pandemic shut-down).
Healing Services
Quarterly, we offer services that include anointing with oil and healing prayer.
Messy Church
The tag line for the global Messy Church movement is “Church, but not as you know it”. If you have attended church for a long time, Messy Church may not look like church to you. At Messy Church, all ages meet together to learn about Christ through games, crafts and activities, music, and storytelling from the Bible. Here at CPUCC, we offer Messy Church quarterly. Learn more about Messy Church here.
