Welcome
The mission of Half Day Play Preschool is to provide an experience promoting group interaction, parent involvement, creativity, and independence via a learning-through-play approach.
Additionally, skills needed for success in school are addressed through learning the alphabet, and numbers and use of tools, etc.
Your child’s class will consist of up to sixteen children and two teachers. Students will be checked in outside. We will provide further information once students are registered.
Registration
We recommend early registration to ensure placement. Enrollment requests are honored on a first-come, first-served basis. If class is full we will accept names for the waiting list.
Registrations for the 2026-2027 school year are now being accepted. To enroll, a child must be three years old by September 1, 2026. Child must be toilet trained and must demonstrate ability to speak and understand basic English. Classes are located in Colonial Park United Church of Christ.
Your child is registered only when you return the attached card to the address above with a $35 non-refundable fee (checks made payable to Half Day Play Preschool). We recommend early registration to ensure placement. Enrollment requests are honored on a first-come, first-served basis.
Tuition
3 Year Old – 2 Day Program
$120/Month
4+ Year Old – 3 Day Program
$140/Month
Your first payment is due by September 1, 2026 with monthly payments due by the first of each month to avoid a late fee. Your last payment will be May 1, 2027. Checks should be made payable to Half Day Play Preschool and marked with your child’s name. If you use cash it must be for EXACT amount and placed in an envelope with the child’s name on it.

Send or drop off your $35 Registration Fee (check payable to Half Day Play – cash must be exact amount) to Half Day Play, 5000 Devonshire Road, Harrisburg, PA 17109. Your child’s spot in the program is not secured until “registration fee” is received.

Eligibility
Children who are three-years-old by September 1, 2026 are eligible for the two-day program which meets on Monday and Wednesday. Children who are four or five years old by September 1, 2026 are eligible for the three-day program which meets Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. The two-day program has a morning class (9:00am-11:30am) and the three-day program has a morning class (9:00am-11:30am) and and possibly an afternoon class (12:30pm -3:00pm).
